UCSB to Host 10th Sustainability Conference June 23-27

UCSB will host the the 10th California Higher Education Sustainability Conference from Sunday, June 23 through Thursday, June 27. The event will feature workshops, exhibits, seminars, field trips, outings, tours, and more, and will take place from Bren Hall to Cheadle Hall to the Funk Zone in downtown Santa Barbara, and beyond.

The California Higher Education Sustainability Conference highlights cutting-edge research, as case studies that have had success in curriculum development, operational programs, and community partnerships. Representatives from UC, CSU and California Community College campuses, as well as the state’s independent and private colleges will gather to foster dialogue across institutions.

Some 26 Higher Education Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Best Practice Awards will be handed out from 6-7 pm Monday at an awards presentation in Storke Plaza. One of the awards will be given to UCSB for the Water Action Plan developed by teh the Bren School Water Action Group Project team comprsing Kathryn Cole, Rebecca Dorsey, Dane Johnson, Matthew O'Carroll, Briana Seapy, and Jewel Snavely (all MESM 2013).
