Darcie Goodman-CollinsBren alumna Darcie Goodman-Collins is the new executive director of the League to Save Lake Tahoe.

Goodman-Collins, who was appointed to the nonprofit in mid-January, was born and raised in South Lake Tahoe and first worked for the League as a summer intern in 1997, while working toward bachelor's degrees in biology and political science at UC Santa Barbara. She received her PhD from the Bren School in 2008, writing her dissertation on how environnmental restoration and sciencecan be integrated with community engagement and public policy.

“I'm very excited to move back to Lake Tahoe," said Goodman-Collins in a press release that ran in the Sierra Sun newspaper. "I grew up skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, and waterskiing on our beautiful lake. I am passionate about science, education, and the lake. I will lead the League's efforts to restore it and work hand in hand with the local community to do so.”
