What are the effects of engineered nanoparticles that end up in agricultural soil? A paper describing research in Bren professor of microbiology Patricia Holden's Bren School laboratory, lead-authored by staff scientists John Priester, has shined some light on the topic and received a great deal of coverage since appearing the weeek of August 20 in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

UCSB Public Affairs issued a press release on Aug. 20, and since then, more than twenty publications and websites, including that of Science magazine, have published articles about the study.
