Aleah Van Woert, Senior Events Manager

As senior events manager, Aleah Van Woert is responsible for planning and overseeing a wide range of Bren events, from colloquia and receptions to open houses and graduation. She works with faculty, staff, or student hosts to establish an overall vision for their event, then executes it with creativity and a careful eye to sustainability, resulting in memorable events that advance the culture, message, and mission of the Bren School. Previously Aleah spent ten years as a professional theatrical stage manager, overseeing more than forty productions at PCPA Pacific Conservatory Theatre in Santa Maria and Solvang and at Ensemble Theatre Company in Santa Barbara. At PCPA, she also taught technical conservatory students and mentored professional interns in stage management. She pairs her theatrical management experience with a love of entertaining and history of throwing parties large and small, and a lifetime of doing a bit of everything in her family’s Italian restaurant. Aleah graduated in 2003 from Southern Oregon University with a BFA in theatre arts. In her free time, she can be found sewing, cooking, or cycling the hills above Santa Barbara.
