Lindsey Kaplan is the Associate Director of Development for the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management and oversees the Corporate & Foundation Partner Program. Lindsey acts as the primary liaison between the Bren School and the corporations and foundations who wish to support the school’s vision and mission through charitable investments. In addition, Lindsey manages Special Projects & Initiatives and Donor Relations & Outreach at the Bren School.
Lindsey spent much of her life traveling around the world working in environmental and wildlife conservation. From studying the indigenous Masai people alongside the wildebeest migration in the national parks of Kenya, educating local Karen hill tribes on the importance of sustainability in Thailand, and researching elephant herd dynamics in South Africa, Lindsey has evolved her life mission of protecting the environment.
Lindsey joined the Bren School Development team in March of 2013 and brings experience in both Environmental Science and Management from her Master’s Degree from the Bren School, professional fundraising from her certification from Boston University, and from her previous development work with a number of Santa Barbara non-profit agencies. She currently serves on the Bren School Alumni Advisory Council.
