Bio
Aakriti is an environmental professional with more than a decade of experience in project management and organizational development. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Tribhuvan University and a Master of Science in Environmental Management from Pokhara University, Nepal.

Before joining the Bren School, she worked with the Asia Network for Sustainable Agriculture and Bioresources (ANSAB), a leading NGO based in Nepal. In her most recent role as Operations and Outreach Manager, she focused on outreach initiatives that support livelihood improvement, community capacity building and environmental awareness. Through this experience she developed expertise in knowledge management, stakeholder engagement, digital communication, environmental education & awareness, and intercultural communication.

Aakriti has spent much of her career working with marginalized and remote communities that face significant development challenges. Her work deepened her appreciation for the importance of effectively transforming technical scientific findings into clear and accessible information for non-technical stakeholders, by helping them bridge the gap between complex environmental issues and practical understanding so they can make informed decisions. Building on these experiences, she is now pursuing a professional degree in Environmental Data Science to explore data-driven approaches for improving environmental communication. She uses machine learning, predictive modeling and visualization techniques to develop interactive tools that address environmental and social concerns while supporting both sustainability and community needs.
