Davis Burroughs

Bio
Davis Burroughs graduated from American University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies with a Minor in Economics. As an environmental media professional, Davis uses research-based science communication strategies to solve environmental problems. However, after nearly a decade of professional experience in green media roles, including positions as a university research assistant, congressional energy reporter, and co-founder of an internationally-sold publication, he has come to see environmental problems more as venture opportunities than story ideas. Motivated by innovating business models that benefit people, the planet, and profit, Davis' goal is to develop, pitch, and ultimately launch an eco-venture. He is currently pursuing his Master of Environmental Science and Management from the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management. Consistent with his belief that money and business can drive positive environmental change, he plans to specialize in Corporate Environmental Management alongside   Bren's Eco-Entrepreneurship Focus. He will cap his master's degree with a University of California-recognized Graduate Program in Management Practice certificate.
