Bio:
Frederick (Dirk) Long is a Founding Managing Director of Olympus Capital Asia, based in Hong Kong. Dirk leads private equity vehicles under the Olympus Capital umbrella that are dedicated to sustainability investing in Asia--renewables, water services, circular economy and optimized logistics investments in China, Vietnam, Thailand and India.
Prior to Olympus Capital, in 1991 he co-founded an environmental NGO in Washington DC that focused on integrating sustainability strategies into all aspects of corporate activity: research, product design, supply chain, manufacturing, marketing and finance. During that time he co-authored books on environmental partnerships and stakeholder negotiations for sustainable development.
He teaches Sustainable Finance courses at Hong Kong University and holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and an AB in Economics from Brown University.
