Bio
Poly Shestak earned her Bachelor’s degree in Economics with a minor in Environmental Systems and Society for the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). While at UCLA, she interned at Airborne Snow Observatories (ASO), a company focused on the collection of snow depth and density measurements in the Sierra Nevada and Rocky Mountains to inform strategies for water management. There, she worked alongside the project manager, gaining experience in the business operations side of a science-driven organization. Upon graduating UCLA in March of 2024, Poly began working for TRC, a global environmental consulting firm, as an associate on the Clean Transportation Solutions team. Her role consisted of writing grants for state and federal clean energy programs, managing compliance requirements for clients, and providing technical assistance to EPA awardees. At Bren, Poly is pursuing the Business and Sustainability specialization, where she is specifically interested in advancing sustainable practices in the apparel and textile industry.
