Something About Me
Roxanna Bragança is a rising fourth-year at UC Santa Barbara, double-majoring in Environmental Studies B.S. and Geography B.A.. After taking upper division courses in the Environmental Studies department such as Circular Economy and Low Carbon Society, Roxanna took an interest in understanding how companies can alter business models, the sourcing of raw materials, and the tackling of waste to abide by certifications, company goals, and new legislation. Completing the Geographical Information Systems series in the Geography department has also sparked an interest in how the utilization of maps and modeling systems can solve environmental problems. All this to say, her career aspirations in environmental consulting and corporate sustainability have led her to the amazing opportunity to be working for Tillamook’s Stewardship team this summer! Roxanna and her mentor Karina Kays will be based in Tillamook’s corporate office in Portland, Oregon, focusing on corporate sustainability-related projects. Some topics she is elated to work on are renewable energy opportunities, methane reduction literature reviews, and projects utilizing Geographical Information Systems.
