Bio
Aidan graduated from Bowdoin College (2022) with a Bachelor of Arts in Earth and Oceanographic Science and a minor in English. While pursuing his studies, Aidan worked for several non-profit and for-profit farms throughout the state of Maine. His academic and practical immersion into the complexities of food systems and soil science catalyzed Aidan’s belief in the power of agriculture to build healthy, resilient and sustainable communities. This conviction led him across the country to an organic farm in Washington State and then to California, where he worked as the Associate Farm Manager and Educator at the Midland School, an outdoor and experiential education boarding school in Los Olivos. At Midland, Aidan worked the farm, helped create a farming curriculum, taught students the basics of sustainable agriculture and co-led overnight outdoor trips in the Los Padres National Forest. Aidan comes to Bren with a strong passion for the outdoors, agriculture, education, and community building. At Bren, Aidan plans to pursue his interests in conservation, land use, and agriculture to help empower farmers and communities to mitigate their environmental impacts and adapt to the reality of our shifting climate.
