Bio
Andrea Carlos graduated from the University of the Philippines – Diliman with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. Her interest in environmental education was sparked through courses such as Environmental Economics and Environmental Ethics. Following graduation, Andrea began her career working on sales data analytics for Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines, focusing on reports for large-scale retailers in both regional and national key accounts. She later transitioned to human capital consulting for Deloitte Philippines, guiding telecommunication companies through technological and software changes in advancing their workforce. Due to the large scale of these multinational companies and their subsequent impact, Andrea’s experience with corporate ways of working drove her environmental curiosity further. She aims to develop a deeper understanding of the adverse effects of mass production and transition this knowledge into determining more feasible and sustainable practices. At the Bren School, Andrea aims to pivot her career towards corporate environmental management as well as pollution prevention and remediation, centering on circumstances existing in developing nations.
