Bio
Annie Combs graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and a Minor in Professional Writing for Business. During her undergraduate career, Annie worked as a research volunteer in Ostional Costa Rica studying Olive Ridley Sea Turtle nesting habits. In her undergraduate career, Annie was an active campus community member. To expand upon her existing business knowledge, she studied sustainable business practices and marketing at Ireland’s University College Cork for a semester abroad in the Spring of 2020. Upon returning to the United States, Annie worked with a team to create targeted marketing campaigns for Santa Barbara Green Business Network. After graduation, Annie worked as the Marketing Director for Ditto, a Santa Barbara technology startup company. She was very involved in business development, investor relations, and app growth throughout her time at the company. Her business experience inspired her to pursue an Eco-Entrepreneurship project at the Bren School. Annie hopes to combine her love of the ocean and passion for corporate responsibility to create a sustainable business model that helps consumers gauge their personal environmental impact.
