As the Bren School’s Director of Development, Beth Pitton-August works closely with the dean, faculty, and staff to raise funds to support the Bren School, and is the point person for managing and supporting the school’s Dean’s Council, Council of Legal Advisors, and Eco-E Advisory Council. She works closely with the Career Development & Alumni Relations team, particularly to build community and business connections that support the Bren School Corporate Partners program. In her wealth of fundraising experience, Beth has served as Corporate & Foundation Relations Director at Direct Relief and as Development Director at the Environmental Defense Center. She also ran her own consulting practice, providing development research, strategy, and writing services for a variety of nonprofit clients.
Beth received her BA in International Studies from Moody Bible Institute and her MA in Liberal Studies from DePaul University. Beth is also passionate about voting rights and has been a member of the League of Women Voters since 2006.
