Brenda Vuong graduated from the University of California, Irvine (UCI) in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science and Policy accompanied by a Minor in Digital Information Systems. She conducted interviews with Madison Park community leaders and recorded how their air monitoring methods were used to advocate for the implementation of environmental justice policies. It was this research that led her to pursue her technological minor, striving to change how information technology can better serve areas of environmental justice. Cultivating her passion for sustainability, Brenda also became a campus leader by engaging students in energy conservation as an intern at the UCI Sustainability Resource Center. At Bren, she plans to study Business and the Environment to pursue a career in the intersections between sustainability, environmental justice, and information technology.
