Bio
Cam Audras seeks to combine his passion for environmental justice with his love for music to encourage progress towards an equitable transition to renewable energy. He graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) in 2021 with degrees in both Environmental Studies and Classical Viola Performance. He recently won a grant from the LA-based Arts and Climate Collective to found, direct, and perform in a climate action performance series. “The Resilience Project” features dance, an original soundtrack, and poignant slam poetry, and was recently featured in a showcase to raise money alongside community-based arts organizations fighting for environmental justice. In academia, Cam performed interdisciplinary research on attitudes towards industrial solar energy development in the Mojave Desert using a novel methodology. His work was awarded second prize in the USC Undergraduate Research Symposium, selected for several conferences, and recently approved for an academic journal publication. Through this investigation, he became fascinated with the role that storytelling plays in engaging communities with environmentalism. At Bren, Cam plans to specialize in Energy and Climate and pursue an environmental communication focus to advance both disadvantaged community concerns and renewable energy in the fight for our climate.
