Bio
Cella Schnabel is a PhD student at UC Santa Barbara’s Bren School of Environmental Science & Management. She studies agricultural water use and groundwater depletion using remote sensing and machine learning. She hopes to advance equitable and resilient food and water systems through research and community-based advocacy. Cella is supported by the 2025 National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship.
