Bio
Charlie Wilson graduated from Hamilton College in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Honors Geoscience. As an undergraduate, he researched the paleoclimate of the Turkana Basin in Kenya, co-authored a paper published in the Journal of African Earth Sciences, and presented his findings at a Geologic Society of America conference.

After graduation, Charlie followed his passion for performing and pursued a career as an actor in New York City. Most notably, he performed at the prestigious Williamstown Theatre Festival and appeared as a lawyer on an FX limited series. However, as the entertainment world shut down due to the pandemic, Charlie relocated to Northern Michigan. This move allowed him to experience the natural beauty of the Great Lakes region alongside a community that mistrusts environmental scientists and traditional news sources. This tension reignited Charlie’s passion for the natural sciences and their intersection with media.

By leveraging his experience in the entertainment industry in concert with his education at the Bren School within the Communications Focus, Charlie is enthusiastic about addressing environmental issues related to the modern media landscape.
