Bio
Christina Treacy’s early experience advocating for environmental protections in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness on Capitol Hill sparked her passion for environmental communication and policy. This passion led Christina to earn her Bachelor’s of Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2024, where she double majored in Environmental Sciences and Political Science with minors in Sustainability and Public Policy. As the Sustainability Chair for the Associated Students of Madison, Christina coordinated with students, staff, and administrators to establish the University’s first set of institutional sustainability goals and advance food justice across campus. In this role she continued to hone her skills in advocacy and communication by representing students’ interests to campus leaders and inspiring change at the University scale.

At the Bren School, Christina aspires to develop skill sets improving her capabilities to bridge gaps between research, policy, and broader communities. She will use these skills to further advocate for systems change at the intersections of environmental policy, food systems, and social justice, focusing on root-cause and equitable solutions to environmental problems.
