Bio

Emma Permé graduated from Boston University in 2022 with a Bachelor’s degree in Earth and Environmental Science. Through her studies she developed a keen interest in Earth systems and systems interactions. Emma directed her career goals toward management of natural systems and resources, even as they are complicated by the effects of climate change. After completing an internship at The Santa Barbara County Supervisors in Das William’s office, which was actively involved in projects such as the Mission Creek Restoration Project, she began her career in regulatory consulting at Axiom Advisors, supporting projects in Santa Barbara through permit applications and NEPA, CEQA and other regulatory documents submissions. She further specialized into the field of environmental consulting at Greene Economics, an Oregon-based consulting firm where she drafted requests for proposals and conducted research for clients with conservation and sustainability goals such as coastal mitigation and offshore wind leasing. Following a brief interlude as a Production Assistant on the crew of the TV show Survivor, Emma began her studies at Bren, where she specializes in Conservation Planning.

Emma is working toward broadening her skills and understanding of natural systems management, and upon graduation, plans to return to the field of environmental consultation.
