Bio
Erica is pursuing a Master of Environmental Data Science at the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management to help her scale equitable, energy-related climate solutions. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and a Certificate from the Renewable and Sustainable Energy Institute at the University of Colorado Boulder in 2019. Before coming to Bren, Erica worked as an analyst for E Source, a research and advisory firm that serves utility companies. There, she answered quick-turnaround research questions and wrote industry reports with a focus on how utilities can better serve their business customers. In prior roles, Erica enjoyed learning about startups and technology commercialization while working with innovators at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center. She similarly supported curriculum development and events for at Venture Partners at CU Boulder, the university’s technology transfer office. Learning about the challenges of commercialization made Erica see the importance of collaboration between academia, business, and the public. She believes that seeking out diverse perspectives is essential for robust climate action. Upon graduating from the Bren School, Erica hopes to continue translating climate science into action.
