Bio
Ethan Hoffman graduated cum laude from Gonzaga University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and a minor in Political Science. His prior experiences consist of co-developing and presenting a River Vision Plan to the Spokane City Council through collaboration with local stakeholders and tribal governments. He also worked as a data analysis intern at a nonprofit Riverkeeper organization where he analyzed Discharge Monitoring Reports to ensure permitted polluters met Washington State Department of Ecology guidelines. Additional professional experience has included working as a sustainability intern at an architecture and engineering firm where he calculated and analyzed electrical and natural gas utilization data for clients for recommendations on improving efficiency. Outside of professional work, Ethan has volunteered at a sustainable farming community and he also enjoys hiking and camping. Through his education and professional experiences, he has realized the severity of the consequences of human actions on the environment which has motivated Ethan to specialize in Water Resources Management at the Bren School. Ethan aspires to be a part of finding solutions to complex environmental issues and working on a holistic approach to the sustainable management of water resources.
