Bio
Kaitlin graduated from UC Davis (2023) with a B.S in Evolution, Ecology, and Biodiversity. This focus deepened her appreciation and passion for the natural world and taught her the urgency of combating climate change. While obtaining her degree, Kaitlin conducted an independent research project at the Bodega Marine Laboratory. She discovered that bat stars cannot locate food under acidic ocean conditions, a climate change phenomenon. Through this valuable experience, Kaitlin expanded her creative process, solidified in field and laboratory methods, learned the importance of scientific communication, and realized her career interests. Instead of broadening our understanding of ecological responses to climate change, she wants to find solutions to prevent such outcomes.

Kaitlin plans on specializing in business and sustainability with a focus on communication. She intends to work with corporations in developing achievable sustainable solutions in an effort to protect the environment. Understanding the importance of environmental policy and environmental justice, Kaitlin hopes to connect corporate sustainability and systemic solutions.
