Bio
Kevin earned his Bachelor’s in Computer Science in 2012 from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) in the College of Creative Studies. He has worked as a Senior and Staff Software Engineer on distributed databases, large scale data storage, electronic payments, frontend architecture, and testing systems at companies including Uber and AppFolio. After a successful career as a software engineer and team lead at large technology companies, Kevin is pivoting his career to align with his vision for a sustainable future. He is studying Environmental Science and Management at the Bren School at UCSB, focusing on the Energy & Climate and Business & Sustainability specialties. Kevin volunteers for local Santa Barbara non-profits including the Los Padres Forest Association and Channel Islands Restoration, and his personal hobbies include native plant gardening, iNaturalist, trail running and ocean sports. He plans to work somewhere in the intersection of clean energy, logistics, economics, and technology.
