Bio
Lili Khosravi graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a Bachelor of Science in Biology (2021). Her love for science placed her on a pre-medical path during her undergraduate career. Time spent in hospitals and clinics allowed her to see the health impacts of environmental problems on underserved populations. Lili's desire to protect the environment and to advocate for marginalized communities led her to switch career paths into the environmental field.
After graduating, she explored her passion for the environment and started volunteering in a native plant nursery at TreePeople, an environmental non-profit. Continuing her work in the non-profit sector, she joined Heal the Bay as a Beach Programs Associate, where she led beach cleanups across Los Angeles County. In this role, she got the opportunity to educate the public on plastic pollution and the multitude of problems threatening our beaches. She has a strong commitment to keeping our coasts and watersheds safe, clean, and healthy for everyone, particularly for communities that will face disproportionate impacts from climate change. At Bren, she wants to specialize in Coastal Resources Management with a Communication Focus to better understand coastal conservation, management, and policy.
