Bio 
Lillian Liu graduated from the University of San Francisco in 2018 with a B.A. in Communication Studies and a minor in Environmental Studies. Her background is in zero emission vehicle incentives and business, energy, and environmental policy. Upon graduating, Lillian served as a Jesse M. Unruh Assembly Fellow and a Legislative Aide in the California State Legislature. She passed bills to increase electric vehicle charging infrastructure, ban “forever chemicals” in takeout containers, and advance the circular economy for plastics. Lillian is a Project Manager at CALSTART, where she administers California’s zero-emission bus and truck incentive program. There, she works on program operations and collaborates with vehicle dealers and industry stakeholders to increase equitable access to voucher funding for independent owner operators and multilingual vehicle purchasers. At the Bren School, Lillian is specializing in Corporate Environmental Management to gain the necessary skills to help corporations integrate sustainable practices into their core business operations and decarbonize their supply chains to achieve net-zero emissions.
