Linus Ghanadan

Linus Ghanadan is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Environmental Data Science from the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland in 2023, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science & Policy. During his third-year at UMD, Linus interned part-time with the World Resources Institute, where he researched government electrification policies in Southeast Asia. Then, prior to starting his fourth-year, Linus completed a 10-week, full-time internship with the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Maritime Administration. While at MARAD, he analyzed policy options to promote the construction of offshore wind vessels, which are necessary to build and maintain offshore wind farms. At the Bren School, Linus is excited to learn new skills, particularly data visualization and machine learning. His career goal is to implement data-driven solutions that advance sustainability within the public and private sector.
