Madison Enda is a Southern California native, whose professional career is driven by a passion for protecting coastal ecosystems and the communities that rely on them. Traveling across the country to New York, she received her bachelor's degree in marine biology from Stony Brook University, with minors in 'Ecosystems and Human Impact', and 'Coastal Environmental studies'. She focuses on projects involving coral reef restoration and theoretical ecology, backed by her undergraduate training at the Interuniversity Institute for Marine Sciences in Eilat, Israel. After gaining experience in coral aquaculture and assisting in international coral reef research through the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) in San Diego, California, Madison has begun work on a master's degree in environmental data science at the University of California, Santa Barbara. In the near future, she hopes to utilize biological and physical oceanography data to predict reef stability, population dynamics, and distribution. Madison aspires to use this information to aid in coastal environmental management that leads to sustainable coastal infrastructure and efficient restoration projects.
