Meet graduated from the University of Mumbai, India, with a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering. While studying, Meet organized a grassroots coastal cleanup and policy advocacy project called Aamchi Mumbai (My Mumbai). This project drove his motivation to work on climate mitigation projects. Before joining the Bren School, he spent over seven years across various non-profit and consulting organizations such as AIESEC, Sustainable Square, WWF International, Climate 2025, and Impact Hub Global, playing critical roles in strategy, partnerships, and innovation. These diverse experiences were vital in shaping his idea of enabling systems of change that address climate change through community action, science and storytelling. At the UCSB’s Bren School of Environmental Science and Management, Meet is specializing in Coastal and Marine resources management in order to shape and realize his vision to nurture an environment of increased capacity to allow bottom-up policy and governance transformation through community-led conservation at the nexus of marine ecosystems and climate justice.
