Nhi Phan graduated from Claremont McKenna College in 2021 with a Bachelor's in Environmental Analysis with a Science Concentration. During her undergraduate career, she focused on examining environmental solutions with an interdisciplinary lens. One of her labs led her to Japan, where she analyzed the efficacy of trees in capturing air pollution as part of the Tree Lab research team. For her senior thesis, she assessed the potential effects of climate change on the growth and survival of the intertidal species Balanus Glandula. Since graduating, she has worked as the Program Coordinator for the Samuel Lawrence Foundation, where she managed 14 programs and lead outreach efforts. After seeing how environmental issues cascade through ecosystems and how it affects communities, she decided to pursue a specialization in Corporate Environmental Management in order to mitigate these issues from the source. Nhi aspires to apply her skillset in solutions-based thinking and science communication to create or support the Sustainability team of a company committed to the environment.
