Bio
Olivia completed her B.S. in Environmental Engineering in 2020 from Colorado School of Mines. For her Senior Design Capstone project, she worked in a team to develop a multipurpose freshwater treatment system for two villages in the Khumbu Valley in Nepal to complement the water distribution systems in place. She continued to complete her M.S. in Hydrologic Science & Engineering in May 2021 also from Colorado School of Mines. After graduating, she moved to California to work for the U.S. Geological Survey as a Hydrologic Technician and as an Assistant Water Resource Engineer for a consulting firm.

Currently, she is a Graduate Student at UC Santa Barbara in the Master’s of Environmental Data Science program (MEDS). She is experienced in data analysis software such as MATLAB, R, and ArcGIS and continues to expand her skills in the MEDS program. Throughout her experiences she has become passionate about analyzing and solving climate and water related problems with data. She enjoys learning new programming languages and modeling software and would love to work in an environment where she could expand on these skills and interests to solve environmental problems.
