Bio
Sarah Love is thrilled to join the 2027 cohort of the Master of Environmental Science Management at the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA. Though a Santa Barbara native, she began her professional career in Spokane, dedicating the next ten years to sustainable engineering solutions. Sarah contributed to the design of biomass production platforms and developed energy-efficient construction projects to revitalize aging infrastructure. As an engineer officer in the Air National Guard, she spent the last five years on overseas active-duty assignments in Europe and Asia, focusing on long-term military construction planning. Sarah has happily returned to her hometown to continue her education at Bren. She is eager to combine her unique professional background with environmental knowledge to help companies reduce their consumption footprints across all sectors. As an enthusiastic fisherwoman and novice ocean swimmer, Sarah is deeply committed to watershed conservation and public access. True to her mechanical background, you can also find her working on cars in her free time.
