Sean Kerr
As the Director of Academic Programs for the Bren School, Sean oversees all aspects of academic programs, including curriculum planning, Master’s Projects, academic requirements, and the development of various programmatic initiatives. He collaborates closely with the Assistant Dean, faculty, and staff to ensure educational effectiveness and program competitiveness.
Before joining the Bren School, Sean served as a Student Advisor for the Office of Summer Sessions at UC Santa Barbara and as a Student Advisor and Assistant Football Coach at Santa Barbara City College. He also worked as a Teaching Associate at California State University, Long Beach, and has experience as a Mental Health Counselor at Sanctuary Psychiatric Centers of Santa Barbara.
Sean holds a BA in Psychology from San Diego State University and an MS in Kinesiology from California State University, Long Beach. A Santa Barbara native and avid football fan, Sean enjoys cheering for the Atlanta Falcons and spending time with his wife, kids, and pets, both at home and in nature.
