Bio
Vedika is currently a Master of Environmental Data Science student at the Bren School. She recently completed her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science (biology focus) and an Applied Statistical Modeling certificate from the University of Texas at Austin.
Vedika worked as a climate data analyst as part of the UT Climate Leaders program, completing a greenhouse gas emissions inventory and developing a reductions strategies plan alongside a climate engagement specialist for the UT College of Fine Arts. She also worked to facilitate rehoming and reusing large lab equipment for researchers at the UT Cockrell School of Engineering. Her capstone research addressed the historical-ecological implications of elevated salinity in the Nueces Delta as a result of prolonged drought and increased surface water usage along the lower Nueces River.
As part of the MEDS program, Vedika is excited to explore diverse applications of data science in environmental science, especially in the climate tech and consulting space. She is particularly interested in helping clients understand and address their emissions more efficiently.
