Something About Me
Katie is a senior at UC Santa Barbara, majoring in Environmental Studies with an emphasis in Law & Policy. She is interested in careers involving the development of environmental policy and environmental litigation and is a part of the Environmental Law club on campus. Every Sunday, she co-hosts beach clean ups in Isla Vista for Gauchos Go Green, where she serves on the executive board. Last spring, Katie interned for Assembly member Gregg Hart, gaining hands-on governmental experience. This past summer, she served as a wildfire policy intern for the 2035 initiative, producing policy memos, briefs, and articles on prescribed burn research at the Sedgwick Reserve.
