Keynote Speaker: Sunny Sohrabian (MESM 2013), Director of Sustainability, LA28

Sunny Sohrabian is the Director of Sustainability at LA28, the organizing committee for the 2028 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles. With 10+ years of corporate environmental sustainability experience, Sunny has held management positions in several organizations looking to become more socially and environmentally responsible, including Goldenvoice, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and AEG.

In her current role as Director of Sustainability, Sunny leads the development of LA28’s sustainability plan and waste minimization & diversion strategy. She works closely with LA28’s external stakeholders including the City of LA, venue delivery partners, commercial partners, athletes, and local community-based environmental groups to help drive meaningful initiatives supporting LA28's commitment to drastically reduce the environmental impact seen in previous Games.

Prior accomplishments throughout Sunny's career include implementing best practices for 100+ AEG-owned and operated arenas, music theatres, sports teams, and festivals; helping forge a pathway to reach net zero emissions across HPE's value chain by 2050; and leading sustainability initiatives for Goldenvoice's top festivals, Coachella and Stagecoach. In 2017, Sunny was named to the GreenBiz 30 Under 30 list.

Sunny holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from UC Riverside and a Master of Environmental Science and Management  from UC Santa Barbara's Bren School, where she specialized in Economics & Policy of the Environment and Corporate Environmental Management.
