Next Steps

After you submit your SIR decision, you may begin working on the next steps to finalize your UCSB enrollment, including:

  • Generate your UCSB NetID and university email (Umail)
  • Submit your Statement of Legal Residence (SLR)
  • Apply for Graduate Student Housing

More information on how to complete these steps can be found on the UCSB Graduate Division's website: graddiv.ucsb.edu/how-apply/admitted-applicants-whats-next

COVID-19

Currently, in-person instruction is prohibited at UC Santa Barbara as a result of restrictions imposed by Santa Barbara County Public Health due to COVID-19. At this time, we cannot confirm the instructional format for courses for the 2021-2022 school year. All Bren degree programs are required to follow guidance from the Santa Barbara County Public Health Department and UCSB when considering holding in-person classes. Regardless of the format, we are committed to providing accessible, high-quality instruction. Our first priority is the safety of our students, staff, and faculty. Please check back regularly for updates as the COVID-19 situation changes.
