Affiliate faculty and political science professor Leah Stokes quoted in LA Times article

In a recent Los Angeles Times article titled "The fossil fuel industry wants you to believe it’s good for people of color," affiliate faculty and environmental politics professor Leah Stokes commented on the disproportionate impact of the fossil fuel industry on communities of color.

"Fossil fuel companies are ignoring the ways communities of color and low-income families are disproportionately harmed by polluted air and water, deadlier heat waves, more punishing droughts and other consequences of burning coal, oil and gas, said Leah Stokes, a UC Santa Barbara political scientist who recently wrote a book about utility industry lobbying."
