The Dean’s Council forms a nexus of essential connections that enrich the Bren School: by building bridges to the broader community; providing guidance and support; and by helping the School retain its high standing and attract the brightest faculty, staff, and students through critical financial support.

Council of Legal Advisors 

Established in 2010, the Council of Legal Advisors (CLA) supports environmental legal education at the Bren School by forming partnerships with some of the nation’s most prestigious environmental law firms. Through guest lecturing, advising, connecting, and financial support, council members ensure that the Bren School’s environmental law training offers provocative, timely, and innovative content.

Eco-Entrepreneurship Advisory Council 

The primary mission of the Eco-Entrepreneurship Advisory Council (EEAC) is to support students who are developing business models and launching new for-profit, nonprofit, or hybrid ventures, which solve significant environmental problems. The council is comprised of experienced business professionals who actively share their experience, expertise and networks to directly engage students as they explore becoming environmental entrepreneurs.

Eco-Entrepreneurship Builder’s Society 

The Builder’s Society is dedicated to supporting aspiring Bren student environmental entrepreneurs. Membership is open to individuals and organizations with a minimum annual donation of $10,000. These funds will directly support Eco-E students and the Bren School’s commitment to build the next generation of Eco-Entrepreneurs. This includes fellowship support and proof-of-concept grants to students who demonstrate a commitment to launching their ventures post-graduation.
