Bio
Albert Garcia is a second-year PhD student pursuing the Economics and Environmental Science (EES) emphasis at Bren. He graduated from Willamette University with his BA in Mathematics and Economics. As an undergraduate, he researched convergence of Markov Chain Monte Carlo algorithms in the context of interspecies competition.
Albert's research interests lie in environmental and natural resource economics. While at Bren, he plans to use spatial-analysis and econometric methods to address questions related to the economics of land-use, forestry, and species conservation.
Prior to coming to UCSB, Albert guided whitewater trips in Juneau, Alaska. In his free time, you can find him on one of the local hiking trails or casting a fly to a hungry trout.
