Bio
Alessandra is an environmental data scientist from Lima, Peru, with roots in the Peruvian Andes. Her research leverages advances in conservation technology for biodiversity monitoring and management. Previously, Alessandra was a Dangermond Fellow at the National Audubon Society in partnership with Esri, where she made maps to protect birds and the places they need. Her past research spanned topics in resource economics and intergenerational decision making. Alessandra is committed to expanding knowledge pluralism and fostering diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in ecology and environmental science.
