Allison Bailey

Bio
Allison Bailey graduated from Boston University in 2013 with a Master of Science in Journalism. Prior to her graduate career, she served in the U.S. Army as an Intelligence Officer conducting city threat-assessments in Iraq and as a Military Police Officer shaping regional security in Afghanistan. Following graduate school, Allison went on to hold the position of National Program Manager for The MissionContinues, an organization that empowers veterans to continue their service in their community. As the National Program Manager, she oversaw the design and strategy of a program that developed thousands of asset-based community leaders and volunteers to focus on making a community impact in public schools, under-resourced neighborhoods, national and public parks. Independent of her career, Allison volunteers her time lobbying, writing op-ed pieces, as well as hosting events to gather community support to address critical environmental issues affecting California. At the Bren School, Allison is specializing in Strategic Environmental Communication with a focus on Eco-Entrepreneurship. Her goal is to launch an environmentally-conscious media platform that concentrates on the intersectionality of her two passions: music and the environment.
