Bio
Alon Robbins graduated from the University of California, Davis, in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife, Fish, and Conservation Biology. During his studies, he interned at the Otolith Geochemistry & Fish Ecology Laboratory, working with critically endangered fish in the San Francisco estuary. Upon graduation, Alon conducted independent research with Delta Smelt analyzing calcified earstones to confirm the presence of longer-lived individuals. He gained experience organizing and merging databases and performing data analysis. The research and knowledge gained in the field were significant for efforts to keep endangered fish alive. At Bren school, Alon is integrating his proficiency in ecology and biology with a specialization in business and sustainability, focusing on corporate sustainability by helping companies develop more environmentally friendly solutions for producing products.

Alon believes developing the most sustainable solutions requires an interdisciplinary skill set and the willingness to work with people of different backgrounds and skills. Environmental challenges such as waste and carbon emission reduction often span multiple fields of expertise and affect the larger community. Therefore, Alon hopes to build a network of people with different skill sets to tackle these issues collaboratively.
