Bio
Andrew Castillo earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from UCLA in 2020, with minors in Public Affairs and Chicanx Studies. As an undergraduate, he conducted voter rights research through the Luskin School of Public Policy and analyzed polling data for the Democratic National Convention. After graduation, Andrew worked as a Community Organizer with TreePeople, an environmental nonprofit in Southern California, collaborating with diverse stakeholders to implement Urban Forest Management Plans in Southeast Los Angeles. His passion for environmental advocacy stems from his experience as an educator, working on school greening projects focused on STEM.

Currently, Andrew is pursuing a Master's degree at the Bren School of Environmental Science and Management, specializing in Energy and Climate, and Water Resources Management. He aims to develop nature-based solutions for historically marginalized communities, advocating for environmental equity.
