Bio
Anusha Sridhara graduated from Bangalore University, India with a Bachelor of Arts degree (Majors in Psychology, Economics & Sociology in 2007) and a Masters of Science degree in Psychology (2009). She has also pursued a Post Graduate Diploma Course in Human Rights Law from the National Law School of India University (NLSIU). She has a decade's worth of work experience across sectors of Education, Market Research (Brand Strategy) and Government Advisory (with KPMG and a political leader in India). The Brand Strategy stint provided her with rich experience in human-centered strategy where she successfully helped brands differentiate themselves with insights from rich qualitative research. Through her varied consulting experience at several government departments in India & Myanmar, she has guided deliberations and aided in conceptualization of policies. It is her volunteering experience at several environment-based nonprofits in India (including Asian Nature Conservation Federation (ANCF) and Friends of Elephant) that inspired her to switch careers to work full-time on environmental issues at the grass-root levels, especially in developing countries. At the Bren School, she plans to specialize in Economics and Politics of Environment with a focus on Communication. She also plans to work with communities and inspire citizen-based movements towards uptake of sustainable products in their daily lives using principles of Behavior Economics.
