Bio
Audrey Nolan realized that she wanted to pursue a career in Environmental Science while studying Biology and researching at the Texas Christian University Aquatic Ecology laboratory assessing the contamination of wetland environments due to nearby power plants. This research fueled Audrey’s passion for change within the energy industry in areas that have an insufficient renewable energy infrastructure. Audrey has worked for environmental consulting firms in Texas and Louisiana where she found herself focusing on permits and regulations for air emissions within the bioenergy industry. While working in consulting, Audrey constantly wanted to address the root of the problems encountered rather than the symptoms. After graduating from TCU in May of 2019 with a degree in Biology and Environmental Science, Audrey decided to pursue a degree specializing in Energy and Climate at the Bren School. Audrey plans to investigate the improvements that can be made within the energy business that will benefit environmental health while simultaneously boosting economic incentives for stakeholders.
