Bio
Charles Kolstad retired from regular teaching at UCSB in 2012, after more than 25 years with the University of California. He remains active in research, focusing on the economics of climate change and regulation. He is a former director of the Economics and Environmental Science program at the Bren School, former chair of the UCSB Economics Department, and former co-director of the UC Center for Energy & Environmental Economics, located at UC Berkeley and UCSB. He is currently a University Fellow at Resources for the Future, a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research, and a Senior Fellow at Stanford University.
