Bio
Courtney Krone graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology. During her undergraduate career, she was an active birder and volunteered at the Santa Barbara Wildlife Care Network. After graduating, she worked as an Operational Specialist at Blue Tomorrow, LLC., an environmental consulting company based in Santa Barbara. There, she helped manage environmental projects by implementing new project procedures. In addition, she volunteered as a marketing intern at Demo2Design, a small business that repurposes and reuses antique and demolition materials. Through these experiences she recognized the need to implement programs that reduce the amount of waste produced in everyday life. Her goal is to reduce waste by promoting the benefits of reducing consumption, reusing materials and regulating waste management. At the Bren School, Courtney plans to specialize in Economics and Politics of the Environment with a Eco-Entrepreneurship focus. After Bren, she plans to obtain an Environmental Law degree and focus on changing waste management laws and regulations.
