Bio
Devin Ngo graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies. In the summer of 2019, he interned for the City of Sunnyvale’s Environmental Services Department. He revamped the Sunnyvale Water Pollution Control Plant’s Operations and Maintenance Manuals, migrating them to a digital platform. Additionally, Devin spent the summer of 2021 as an intern under the U.S. Department of Energy’s Clean Cities University Workforce Development Program. With Silicon Valley Clean Cities Coalition, he organized events and initiatives that implemented and increased the awareness of alternative fuels and fuel-saving technologies. Devin’s many areas of interest include economics and politics of the environment, energy and climate, and water resources management. During his undergraduate studies, Devin spent three years as a staff member for the Vietnamese Student Association at UC Santa Barbara, his final year as President. His involvement within cultural spaces on campus alongside his environmental background led to his passion for environmental justice. Devin hopes for his work at Bren to address the disproportionate effects disadvantaged communities face from environmental impacts.
