Something About Me
I am from Hemet, California, and in my fourth year at UCSB pursuing a BA in Environmental Studies focusing on restoration ecology. My passion for the environment stems from my growing awareness of the dwindling biodiversity in my hometown. Because it troubled me to see real estate development, including an artificial lake, on the local landscape, I came to UCSB to get a degree that would allow me to minimize unnecessary development and preserve wildlife through restoration, conservation, or community engagement. While working towards these goals I have worked on a project that shows a mock restoration plan for the More Mesa Open Space. Outside of academics, I love to bake all kinds of seasonal desserts for my friends and take nature walks to identify local plants and wildlife.
